VLADIVOSTOK, RUSSIA, Friday 27th July 2018 - First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) attended the International Far East Maritime Show (IFEMS) hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of the Development of the Russian Far East.

The key objectives of the show was to assist in the development of a shipbuilding cluster and any associating industry in the Russian Far East. The show was aimed at developing the Russian Far East for shipbuilding both commercial and military, this was evident during the show and plenary discussions between prominent figures of Russia’s maritime environment from government officials to directors of multinational companies. 

The topic during the plenary session was “Water Transport in the Era of Digitalisation and New Technologies”. Present amongst the panel was the Admiral and Commander in Chief of the Russian Pacific Fleet; Admiral Sergey Avakyants.

The exhibition floor of the Far East Federal University Administration Building was occupied as the platform for the companies to display and promote their products and innovations. The Commander of RBN was greeted wholesomely by the participants, especially those that offered naval technologies.

Earlier in the morning, Commander of RBN had a tour of Submarine Museum in the city center of Vladivostok, where a legendary World War II submarine was turned into a museum.
