VLADIVOSTOK, RUSSIA, Saturday, 28 July 2018 – First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) made an official visit to the latest Russian Pacific Fleet corvette “Sovershenniy”. 

Upon arrival at the pier, Commander of RBN was received by Captain Dmitry V.Pashinuk, Commanding Officer of “Sovershenniy".  The Commander of RBN proceeded to inspect the Guard of Honour presented by the ship's company. The Commander of RBN was then given a guided tour on board the 104m corvette. During the tour, it was mentioned that the vessel was one of the Pacific Fleet’s latest addition. The “Sovershenniy” was commissioned on 20th July 2017. After the tour the Commander of RBN was invited to have lunch onboard the ship with Captain Pashinuk and Admiral Sergei Avakyants present.

Upon leaving the ship, the Commander of RBN was greeted with the guard and the national anthems of both country being played.

After the ship visit, the Commander of RBN was brought to the Russian Pacific Fleets’ historical museum. The museum was dedicated solely to the advent of the Pacific Fleet, stretching from the year 1866 to 1945 with the closing of the Second World War.
