MUARA, Tuesday, 10 September 2019 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) today received the first study visit from the participants of the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff Course (GKS CSC), Republic of Singapore. The course consist of participants from the Singapore Armed Forces and 6 foreign participants namely from Australia, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia and the United States of America. During the visit, Commander Shahairil bin Haji Mohd Shahlan, RBN, Acting Chief of Staff welcomed the delegation which was headed by Colonel Simon Lee, Commandant GKS CSC.
The visit then started with a brief presentation on the overview of RBN Organisational Structure and Roles delivered by the Acting Chief of Staff. The participants also had the opportunity to listen and get first-hand insights from the Commander of RBN, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily during the question and answer session, who led the RBN panel during the session. Also present amongst the panel was Captain Norsharinizam bin Haji Talib, RBN, Fleet Commander of RBN.
Subsequently, the GKS CSC participants then proceeded to have a tour onboard KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB DARUTTAQWA which concluded the GKS CSC visit to RBN.
